What is a Giclée print and why is it so expensive compared to other prints I see online?
Giclée prints are of archival/museum quality and are created using top of the range Giclée printers and superior quality, highly pigmented inks with a rating for 200 years fade resistance when displayed correctly. Additionally, the overall visual appearance of the prints is so good that you will find it hard to distinguish them from the real thing!

What is the difference between an open edition and a limited edition print?
An open edition print has an unlimited number of prints which can be made and the image can be printed onto an unlimited number of items.
By contrasts, a limited edition print has a pre-determined edition size (ie the number of prints to be printed). The edition size will never be increased but may be decreased. Additionally, a limited edition piece should never appear on other products such as mugs or fashion items unless these form part of the limited print edition which must be stated in the product description so the collector knows what the edition size consists of. This is because it is the fact there are a limited number of pieces that increase the collectable value and to print extras would de-value the collector value of the prints already in existence which would be hugely unfair to the collector.
If I change my mind about a purchase can I return it for a refund?

I live abroad but really want to buy a painting. Do you ship abroad?
Yes I am happy to ship both original art and prints abroad. Shipping is priced based on destination location, dimensions and weight of your package. Please contact me to discuss your shipping options so I can get you a quote before committing to buy.
Do you offer private commissioned pieces of art?
Yes I do offer private commissions. To book a private commission please contact me to discuss your requirements.
I saw a painting of yours on another website…how do I know if it is genuine or fake?
Unfortunately there are a lot of scammers out there and so it is recommended that yo purchase via my website or through my social media channels. If it is a piece which is no longer for sale and is something which another collector is selling then be very sure to check they are legitimate before handing over any cash and ideally go and see the painting before handing over any money. All of my pieces come with a certificate of authenticity signed by myself so be sure to check the painting pr print comes with the certificate of authenticity. Beware social media profiles pretending to be me. I will never ask for your personal information or encourage you to pay over social media, telegram, whatsapp or any other place other than this website.

How do I know what size painting I need for my wall?
Choosing a painting size that compliments your wall is something that we each need to consider when buying art. You do not want to see the painting overpower the space but nor do you want it to look lost. If you have a very large wall and a small painting then consider adding other art to the same wall to create a gallery effect. Otherwise choose a piece which fits nicely leaving a gap for roughly 1/3 of the overall wall space either side of the painting when hung. This is not a hard and fast rule but does make a good starting point. Try placing a piece of card on your wall to help you visualise or if you are tech savvy and have a big space to cover then you can always try creating a mock up to scale or ask someone to do it for you.
Do your acrylic canvas paintings come with fittings ready to hang?
All my deep edge box canvas paintings come with brass hanging fittings and metal wire hanging pre fitted. Stretched canvas paintings do not come with fittings since they are typically framed, though framing of these pieces is not necessary and some people prefer to hang them in their raw, unframed state. If you would like to hang your stretch canvas painting without framing then you would be best to contact a professional framer who will be happy to do this for you for a small fee.
Why do your pastel paintings not come mounted or framed?
My original pastel paintings do not come framed or fitted behind mount board ready for framing due to the nature of the medium in which they were created. Pastel paintings contain some loose particles of pigment and initially shed some of these tiny particles. The amount shed stops over time, is nothing to worry about and is perfectly normal. Shipping framed and/or mounted will result in mount board contaminated by pigment particles and potentially broken glass which could damage the painting itself. Framing and mount board colour and size is also a very personal choice to enable it to match your home, office or display area so I feel it works better all round to supply my pastel paintings unframed and ready for you to frame as you prefer.
